Nonetheless, GID posters should still glow but it may take more light (or as we discussed in class, amplitude) to trigger the desired effect. I believe that the frequency of light is not the determining factor, but the intensity is.however, all glass, coated or not, will have an effect. It glows in the light too, you just can't see it. GID posters depend on light energy to "charge" the ink that then glows. There will still be UV light transmitted between 380 and 400 nm, but the use of UV blocking glass will minimize the intended effect. ![]() Putting UV blocking glass on posters that depend on UV light to trigger the "glow" would negate the majority of the source that causes the effect.
